The Calling
Isaiah's Calling:
Since a young age, Isaiah felt the call to ministry. After an encounter with God through healing, Isaiah gave his heart to Christ. At the age of 15, at youth camp, God called Isaiah to missions. He thought God was calling him to urban missions. He attended Valley Forge Christian College (University of Valley Forge) where he studied Pastoral Ministries. During his freshman year, while attending the Missions Convention on campus, God directed Isaiah's call to World Missions. The next day Isaiah changed his major to World Missions. Before God opened the door for him to pursue his missions career, Isaiah was a youth pastor in North Carolina and an associate pastor in Pennsylvania and New York.
Heather's Calling:
Heather responded to God's voice at the age of 13 while on a missions' trip to the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. She knew God was calling her to minister to kids outside of the United States. Although she did not know where, she trusted God to direct her. She attended Valley Forge Christian College (now University of Valley Forge), and majored in World Missions. There she met Isaiah, and after they graduated, they were married. After college, she pastored alongside Isaiah, ministering to both children and youth.
Serving in Colombia
Loving the Unloved!!
We will be living in the beautiful city of Santa Marta, Colombia. We have the privilege to work along side veteran missionaries as we plant churches all along the northern coast in Barranquilla, Cartagena and Santa Marta. Right now in Santa Marta alone, there are over about 30,000 Venezuelan refugees living on the streets. We are believing Matthew 9:37 “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.” We are saying yes to the people who may feel no love, even from their country. A people who may have never heard there is a heavenly Father who loves them and wants a personal relationship with them. A Father who has a plan and purpose for each and every child living in those coastal cities. Will you believe, pray for us, and pray with us, that the Lord would continue to send workers into a ripe and overflowing harvest field?
In 2017, Heather had the honor of leading a team from NY to Nicaragua and worked with Kings Castle for the first time. She fell in love and hoped in her heart that Kings Castle would also be apart of our missions life later. God truly gave her the desires of her heart as He has opened the door, for just that, in Colombia. King’s Castle is an evangelist out reach towards children. Simply its V.B.S everyday, in the streets, in schools (yes schools), parks and any other public locations that draws the attention of children. Through song, dance, games, stories, and testimonies we present the love of Jesus. There are altar calls and prayers over each child, as they respond for healing, for a relationship with Jesus, for problems at home. Then we connect them back to a local pastor for them to get plugged into a church. Through Kings Castle we will also be apart of the training. We get to teach, mentor, and disciple the next generation of leaders, and pastors. Our hearts could not be happier!!
